SJE School is designed to be accessible and affordable for families. As a tuition-based model, we are committed to maintaining affordability while providing a high-quality education. To support our families, we offer various financial aid options and a robust SCRIP program, which many families use to offset tuition costs. Our fundraisers are essential to further reducing the tuition ask each year.

We understand that each family's financial situation is unique, which is why we provide flexible payment plans. You can choose from 1-, 2-, 10-, or 12-month payment options to find what best fits your budget. Additionally, we offer sibling discounts to further ease the financial commitment for families with more than one child enrolled. A family using our 12-month payment plan and utilizing our parishioner discount could pay as little as $596/month!

At SJE, we are dedicated to making education accessible to as many families as possible without compromising the quality of our programs.

Our student population is approximately 75% Catholic. However, we warmly welcome students of all faith backgrounds. Our inclusive environment fosters respect, understanding, and a sense of community among all of our students, regardless of their religious affiliation.

At SJE School, we offer a full academic schedule daily. Our students consistently meet or exceed California state standards and national frameworks, ensuring a high-quality education. We are doubly accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), which reflects our commitment to excellence. Additionally, our small school environment ensures that students receive individualized academic attention, helping each child to thrive and succeed.

Our religious education component is integral to our community. We attend mass every week as a school, from TK through 8th grade. During Lent, we offer student-led Stations of the Cross. Students in 2nd grade and 8th grade have Sacrament preparation classes integrated into their daily schedules. Additionally, students pray daily, including a beginning prayer, grace before meals, and an afternoon prayer, fostering a strong spiritual foundation. We also have a daily religion class, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive religious education.

Our facilities are designed to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment. Our classrooms were renovated in 2021, offering modern and well-equipped spaces for our students. We also have a gym that serves as a PAL host site for basketball, providing excellent opportunities for sports and physical education. Our campus spans multiple acres, giving students ample space to run, play, and enjoy outdoor activities.

Our student-to-teacher ratio at is 14:1. This ratio does not take into account our dedicated support staff, instructional aides, or administrative team, who all provide additional academic and emotional support to our students daily. With those staff added in, our ratio is 10:1. This ensures that each student receives the attention and care they need to thrive both academically and personally.

SJE School places a strong emphasis on supporting students' social and emotional development. We prioritize mentorship and appropriate responses to various situations, teaching problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Our dedicated SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) teacher provides weekly classes to students in all grade levels, focusing on the healthy management of emotions and anxiety. Additionally, our principal's office is a dedicated safe space where students can come and share their frustrations or ask for help. This comprehensive approach ensures that students are equipped with the tools they need to navigate social interactions and emotional challenges effectively.

Parents at SJE have numerous opportunities to get involved in our vibrant school community. You can participate in the classrooms, assist with class and school-wide activities, join the Parent Club, and help with fundraisers. Parents are also welcome to volunteer for field trips, support the library, coach sports teams, and contribute to our drama program. Additionally, there are various ways to help from home, such as donating materials or services. 

This involvement is an important way to meet other families and build connections within our community. We also host social events for parents and families throughout the year, fostering a strong, supportive network for everyone.
