The St. John’s Holiday Show of Hands Craft Fair Committee would like to invite interested crafters to apply to be a vendor at our 2026 Craft Fair! Interested crafters may bring a few samples of their work to be viewed by members of our Craft Fair committee on the first Wednesday in March from 9am to 3pm in our parish hall.
1. Where and when do I apply? Stop by anytime between 9am - 3pm on Wednesday, 3/4/26 at St. John's Parish Hall located at 5701 Locust Avenue in Carmichael. Appointments are not scheduled.
2. What should I bring? Bring a sample of your handmade item to be viewed by members of the craft fair committee, in addition to a picture of your booth display. You do not need to leave your samples.
3. How long does this take? Not very long. We generally have 3 tables going. One crafter showing items to the committee, one packing their samples, and one unpacking their crafts.
4. How many spaces are available? We have over 150 crafters, and each year 75% of our vendors are invited to return. With approximately 25 spaces available yearly, we are always seeking exciting new crafts for our show.

Pat Holbus co-founded the St. John’s Annual Craft Fair alongside her dear friend, Carole Czimskey. What began as a fundraiser grew under their leadership into one of Carmichael’s largest and most beloved community traditions, welcoming thousands of visitors and bringing generations of families together each year.
For more than 48 years, Pat devoted herself to the Craft Fair, working year-round to oversee its planning, organization, and continued success. Her remarkable dedication helped establish the Craft Fair as the largest fundraiser benefiting St. John the Evangelist School. Through her decades of service, Pat helped make a St. John’s education possible for countless children and families.
For Pat, the Craft Fair was about more than fundraising. It was about community, service, friendship, and supporting the school and parish she loved so deeply. The tradition she helped create continues because of the foundation she built and the many volunteers and families she inspired along the way.
Pat’s legacy at SJE extends far beyond the Craft Fair. Her devotion to her family, her faith, and her community remains at the heart of the tradition she helped build. Each year that our community gathers for the SJE Craft Fair, we are proud to continue the legacy Pat began nearly five decades ago.
