Safety is our top priority.

The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our highest priorities. Our School Safety Committee meets quarterly to evaluate our School Safety Plan, review current threat assessments, discuss campus safety concerns, and identify opportunities to enhance preparedness and emergency response. 

Preparedness is an essential part of keeping our school community safe. On the first school day of every month, St. John the Evangelist observes Safety First Day, during which students and staff practice a variety of emergency preparedness drills, including earthquake, fire, and lockdown (active threat) procedures. These regular drills help ensure that everyone knows how to respond calmly and confidently in the event of an emergency.

Every classroom and office is equipped with a Red Emergency Safety Bag containing essential emergency supplies, which is used during drills and readily available should an actual emergency occur. In addition, all faculty and staff receive ongoing training in emergency response procedures, reinforcing our commitment to providing a safe, secure, and prepared learning environment for every student.
