leadership & service

Student Council

Student Council members serve as leaders within the school community by organizing fundraisers, leading morning assemblies and school rallies, assisting with the morning drop-off line, and participating in service projects. They also extend their leadership beyond campus by volunteering with local organizations, including senior centers and food banks, demonstrating a commitment to service and community engagement.

BETA Club

Beta Club recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to service. Members maintain strong grades while participating in service projects, supporting school events, and developing leadership skills. Through their involvement, students learn the value of responsibility, teamwork, and making a positive impact in their school and community.

Junior St. Vincent de Paul

Junior St. Vincent de Paul members put their faith into action through weekly service at the parish food bank, helping provide support and resources to individuals and families in need.

Buddy Program

The Buddy Program is one of the most cherished traditions at SJE and plays a vital role in building our strong sense of community. Students are paired across grade levels, TK with 5th grade, Kindergarten with 6th grade, 1st grade with 7th grade, and 2nd grade with 8th grade, to foster mentorship, friendship, and connection. Buddies attend Mass together, participate in special activities and field trips, and support one another throughout the school year. For many students, their buddy becomes one of the most meaningful and lasting relationships they develop during their time at SJE.

Student Mentor Program

Student mentors are assigned to provide 1:1 mentorship and support for a student in the Resource Program. Mentors receive monthly leadership training. The Student Mentorship Program is open to 6th - 8th graders.

Brown Bag Lunch Ministry

The Brown Bag Lunch Ministry provides Preschool - 8th grade students with an opportunity to put their faith into action by serving those in need. Participants help prepare and assemble bagged lunches that are distributed to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity
